Log in to see a list of available shifts from nearby restaurants. Each post includes:

• Date and time
• Hourly wage
• Location
• Job description (ex: hosting, dishwashing, cashiering, etc.)

Shifts are updated in real-time, so check back often or turn on notifications for new postings.

2. apply first, get the shift

See a shift you like? Tap to apply.

• Shifts are first-come, first-served–if you're the first to apply, it's yours!
• Restaurants can view your profile and rating, so keeping a good track record helps you not get rejected

You'll get a confirmation with all the shift details once you're approved.

3. show up and do great work

On the day of your shift:

• Be on time, dress appropriately, and be ready to help
• Follow the instructions given in the job description or by the staff

Communicate clearly if anything comes up–restaurants value professionalism!

4. get rated & rate the restaurant

After your shift, the restaurant will rate your performance based on:

• Punctuality: did you arrive on time and ready to work?
• Work Ethic: did they complete tasks efficiently and with care?
• Professionalism: were you respectful, positive, and communicative?

You also get to rate the restaurant based on:

• Clarity of expectations: were the tasks clearly explained?
• Work environment: was the team respectful and the environment safe?
• Overall experience: did you feel supported and treated fairly?

Your average rating builds your Shiftly reputation, which helps you stand out and reduces the chances of being rejected from future shifts. Meanwhile, your feedback helps other students make informed decisions–and encourages restaurants to create great work experiences.

5. get paid immediately

Shiftly pays you directly after the restaurant confirms that your shift was completed.

• Get paid the same day (in most cases—some payments may take 1 business day depending on your bank)
• You'll receive a summary of your completed shifts and earnings
